Maybe it's the words
That don't seem to fit.
Or maybe it's me
Who has lost his wit.
Never-the-less we go on
In an endless pursuit.
Can't seem to catch the carrot
Or the guy in the black suit.
Once, when I was near,
I almost caught the wimp.
Slipped through my fingers
I'm just a poor simp.
Well maybe tomorrow
Will be a new day.
Things will work out,
It will fall my way.
