They say a cup of tea is good for you,

As it can bring rest to a busy day.

Some little crumpets dipped in it,

Is a delight I look for each day.

Every Sunday morning as a kid,

I'd have my tea and fresh rolls.

Dunk the rolls in the hot tea,

And lavish at its delighful taste.

Seems I grew out of the habit,

As tea was replaced with a cup of Jo.

No more dunking biscuits or rolls-

Always, it seems, I'm on the go.

Still I like, now and then,

To sit and have a cup of tea.

Reminisce of days gone bye,

When rolls and tea were part of me.
