Waking to a new day
Head clear and fresh.
All problems behind me
Clear skies above me.
Seems like a good day
Has arrived at my door.
I can open and face it-
Ready for what life has in store.
There are always surprises
That pop up on a regular basis.
But nothing I can't handle
By just shucking them off.

Hi George,
For me at least, waking up in the morning is always a good sign.
Got up this morning early
to ease the pains and ache.
Then tried to read the paper
Before, I was myself awake.
Read all the day’s obituaries
to see if I were dead.
Saw that I was still alive
and then went back to bed.
