Thoughts are like the wind

That can blow in all directions.

You have to harness them

When you are in reflection.

Seldom does a poem appear,

But must be created.

The mind goes to work as you write,

In bed or while you are seated.

If a theme for a poem appears

And gives you a thought.

Grab a pen and jot it down.

It can become a poem you sought.

A GREAT DEAL OF WRITERS EVEN GO TO BED WITH A PEN AND PAD AT THEIR BEDSIDE BECAUSE ONE NEVER KNOWS WHEN THE BEGINNING, THE MIDDLE OR EVEN THE LAST LINES OF A POEM MAY QUICKLY PASS THROUGH THE MIND. GOOD ADVICE, GEORGE...THANK YOU. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Wow! I never though of writing a poem about writing a poem. Very cleaver George!

One thing you made me think of. These days I seldom pick up a pen. I type it in my computer and spell-check it until the very end.

Amen
