My Inner Voice
Magnified by a conscious thought,
That presses to be announced.
Here in the little theatre of words,
I give substance to its prodding.
There is evidence that is valid
By its insistence to be introduced.
For without these interruptions,
I may never write a word of prose.
At least that is what I hear lately,
When I don’t listen to its prattle.
Be I the numbskull that I am, I fear
They will agree whole-heartedly.
Now that I have given them an audience,
I shall retire for the night in satisfied slumber.
Looking forward to a new day of more
Annoyance from my inner voice subdued.
Very enjoyable poem.
Thank you so much for giving us this lovely write
Best wishes....neerja
