Our thoughts should rise above the mundane.

Humdrum life is not exciting, at best.

We can't be held captive to sloth,

Especially when it comes to whom we elect.

Our Country has been on a greased track,

That is leading us into eventual oblivion.

We  elect our leaders but not without carefull thought.

We are made up of parties, be they good or bad.

Yet some always vote the same party line,

As if that is their only salvation, true at times.

Maybe I'm being too simplistic in my analogy,

And we may survive in spite of ourselves, doubt it.
