Fear

Covering her eyes

As if a ghost she saw.

Letting out a murmor

Of anguish she bore.

 

Giving her a hug

To calm her fear.

Knowing my love for her

Would bring her some cheer.

 

Yet she trembled

And held me tight.

Lost was I as to the reason

That caused her such fright.

Somehow I don't think that her mysterious fright is the point of this George. Seeking refuge with those we love is the point of this. A great poem to read. I liked it a lot. Bob

always inquire into life's mysteries before it's too late ... love is powerful medicine for life's uncertainties, yet life's reasoning may still one trembling in its wake ...

So am I lost as to reason why she felt such fright. Perhaps she dreamed of a bogey man in the night? It is Friday the 13th, after all.
