Catching myself from a fall, Banging my chest quite hard. Will ache for a few days, I fear, Part of growing too old. Have to admit I'm not as spry As I would like to be. But such is life when you get old And have to age gracefully. Not as easy as I had been told, But you adjust in the course of time. Meanwhile, my bruises are badges For the times I didn't slow down.

Yes, we all bear the marks of our youthful indiscretion. As we get older, we think of them as badges of becoming. In the end, we wonder what we are becoming. Great thoughts evoked by your words in this poem.
