We can curse God or praise Him,

By the events and fortunes of our day.

If we are happy we give thanks,

But sometimes when sad we curse.

Misfortune strikes many of us,

Loss of a loved one who was alive yesterday.

Why, we ask God, did this have to happen?

How could you be so cruel, as you curse Him.

It's easy to do when you are grieving

The loss of a loved one, taken too soon.

Our minds cannot fathom a God so mean

As to deprive us of this one we cared for.

But when we look at Him on the cross,

He certainly knew something about suffering.

He died that we may live and love Him,

Because He is a God of love and compassion.

Yes, I too have questioned life and its sometimes cruel happenings (i almost said pranks), but i too am a true believer in Him! I was raised that way. Very careing and enjoyable poem.

Trapped within our meat envelope it's hard to relate to a God who made a plan for us, if we have the courage to walk the map, but it will go forward whether we shake our fist at him or not. He gives us this map freely. I really enjoyed the thought in this reading George. Great work. Bob

"Count it all JOY"
Easy to say
Hard to live.

Yet God knows best
And to him HE wants HE bestows HIS rest.
It starts with BELIEVING.

God doesn't cause things to happen, just allows them ... my mother died when i was 3 days old ... i never blamed God, in fact drove me more to understand his nature ...
