Force not a thought when none are there.
Let it come like the evening air.
A breeze will cool a sweaty brow,
Ask those that walk behind a plow.
And when the evening tasks are done
Let me rest like the setting sun.
For nature calls an end to day,
And the mighty sun must obey.
Earth you spin in envious space,
Along with stars that add their grace.
But you alone have mortals in,
Where God Himself died for our sins.
