Lapsing in splendor

Of thoughts gone astray.

The sparkle all gone,

It causes dismay.

Here in the absence,

I ponder anew.

Looking for roses,

But feeling just blue.

Where did the joy go

That once was my flame?

Lost is the feeling

That there's no new game.

I've been to the plate,

Fouled off but a few.

But life is no game,

Each day something new.

Tomorrow will change,

I can make it so.

I am the master,

Just watch as I grow.
