It defies my imagination,

Woven with invisable thread.

Covers the unseen completely.

It has shades of darkness, I dread.

Caught in the evening shadows,

Like an ant in a spiders web.

Lifeless but moving like a shadow

When light falls upon the dead.

Mesmerized by this lifeless form,

That has returned from antiquity.

There is no description possible,

As it has never been seen before.

Let me leave this ghostly vision,

And return where life is born.

Let me erase what I have seen,

Before they look at me with scorn.

I am not a fiction writer, lost

Some where in times confusion.

Explaining the impossible,

Is beyond my simple norm.

a ghost is a ghost, eerie write.

George: I assume this one is in continuation of the last one you wrote. The mystery is still in the air.

I think if you turn on the lights in the house, you may not see anything anymore. Sometimes our eyes like to play tricks on us. Keep well, and take care.

Sandie

P.S. There are really some people who can see things that we don't see on a daily basis, several of my friends can do that. My sister told me she can see angels sometimes just before she falls asleep. And then there is this guy at our workplace, (well, he doesn't work at our workplace, but he's a security guard for our work building after everyone's gone home) he can see our past dead employees standing around our photocopying machines even during the day whenever he comes in early. We cannot see, only he can. I have a story written in my "Stories" section, entitled, "Ghostly Encounters", which is written about the time I worked overtime into the late evening. I heard noises, but didn't see anything. You are free to read about that story in my "Stories" section. It's a true account of the events that had happened.~ Sandie

On the Edge of Words by Debra Kraft

Questions, unquestioned discoveries, and answers in parable and rhyme…. This collection records a journey starting with a 1960s retrospective and the first man on the moon, moving to a new millennium welcomed in with a terrorist spin, family crises,
