Waiting for the cock to crow.

My sleepy head anticipates.

Morning chores all waiting for me,

To jump out of bed and get busy.

No ambition have I this day

No desire to start any work,

I'm just a lazy good for nothing,

Some even call me an old jerk.

Nevertheless I will stay in bed

And rest this tired old head.

Let them call me all sorts of names-

Been there before, let them play their games.

You know what? Routine is wonderful but
also laying back and just letting it be for yourself.

Always treat yourself George...

Many thoughts throughout this poetic potpourri. What God would say to His child is never say negative things about thee. You are a child of the living God and are so much more because you are Special in His eyes. Amen

Yes, George...ignore the "Cock Crows"...take a break
and have a...Hot cross...spicy sweet fruity flavored
buns served in your bed.....Hmmm! "Let them call you
all sorts of names"...and smile.
Hot with butter...really yummy...too.
Enjoyed your "right spirit" enhancer-poem!

I'd say, based on your long life, that you deserve to stay in once in a while. To hell, what other people say.

Every morning I look down, and if my cock crows, I hurry up and get busy before it disappears. ;-)

The cock crows, the sun rises.
Everybody up! Hit the floor running or get eaten alive.
Goodnight, George.

LOL!!! George, you're not an old jerk. Someone else has claimed that title already.

Anyway..., I always look forward to what you have to say from your thoughts everyday.
