Life Eternal

Bowing my head

Knowing death is near.

We all may not rush

To embrace it, though.

 

Fear of life's ending,

Grips most at last breath.

You struggle but must succumb,

And greet a new life.

 

Better you be asleep

Than struggle for each breath.

Walk in God's ways

And death will be life eternal.

Yes we are eternal beings...and in time we all return to our real 'home'....
And many will be there to welcome us...

...as you put it in your poem George,
"L'eternite, c'est long...surtout vers la fin", Franz Kafka.

and...here's a free translation for all...not speaking any other
language...but that of...belittle hate intimidation and abuse:
"Eternity is long...especially at the end"

You will certainly have life eternal, George! I truly believe that. I hope I "go" in my sleep as well unless some crazy driver slams into me tomorrow!
