How can we ponder life

Except to review the past.

We make so many decisions,

Not all are the correct ones.

Though we sail through life,

Sometimes stumbling as we go.

Even if we fall, we can get up

And be careful not to fall again.

The ocean we sail on

Is the same for all.

But each is capable

Of steering a true course.

There are storms that beset

The best of captains.

Decisions have to be made

From experience and skill.

Not all of us can weather

Each storm we face in life.

But we do ask at times

For Divine guidance.
