Forgetful at times

When thoughts escape me.

And I plod along best I can,

Though I may make mistakes.

Who won't forgive

An honest man

When he says

He's sorry.

Some may

Never forgive

The hurt

Given in correction.

Pride does

Keep us aloof

In a castle

That encases our heart.

Points well made, George. I believe that one does not have to blindly forget but forgiveness is key for healing to occur. Love and blessings to you,

Regis

Saying sorry, and apologizing doesn't cause one anything, except one's "sincerity". Unfortunately, some may say sorry, but never meant it. Yes, your are right too. Prides does keep one aloof in a castle that encases his/her own heart.

Some put their hearts in a safe and throw away the key, but not Jane Noponen Perinacci!
