Chasing a thought
As it escapes my grasp.
It is one step away;
Frustrating, you might say.
Never-the-less I plug on,
Eventualy it will tire.
It is then I'm in control,
When all is said and done.
Elusive as it can be,
I let it have its way.
Yes, a poet needs thoughts.
Without them, where would he be?
As I sat down to write my poem for this week, today, I didn't have thought. since it is the fourth of July, I finally had to write a poem about that because that was all I was thinking about.
I hope you caught my drift, I caught yours.
