Rising to greet the morning
With a little prayer to God.
Sometimes I forget
But it comes to me during the day.
Any time of the day is ok,
As God has attentive ears.
Just a thank you is sufficient,
And ask for patience to continue.
It's when somebody irks me,
That my patience seems lost.
But we all have those kind of days;
Thank God we don't get in a brawl.
