Peanut butter and jelly sandwich
I used to make as a kid.
The peanut butter used to stick
To the roof of my mouth.
I had to have a glass of milk
Ready to unstick peanut butter.
Worked most of the times,
According to my mother.
Just a kid and his dreams,
On a Saturday afternoon.
Ready to rush out and play ball,
Too soon the darkness set in.
We had all day Sunday to play,
Unless my parents had other plans.
Just those lazy days in Autumn,
That I recall as a kid.
