Were I to taste the words said,
Would they be consumed
As if they were a loaf of bread?
Nay, they who speak, must know
How words differ and have no soul,
And only in ones ears, can meaning grow.
Let not a tongue with dagger speak,
Creating discord amongst those you meet-
While leaving love lay at thy feet, weak.
O morning, chase these thoughts away,
That leave one only in dismay,
When they are spoken in harshest way.
