Where is the joy in life

That we had as kids.

Sure there were bullies,

But they always got theirs.

Where has the laughter gone?

Let's not all wear a frown.

They mocked Christ,

And gave Him a crown of thorns.

He suffered and died for us.

The least we can do is thank Him.

Wear a smile now and then.

Though for some, it may be hard.

There are a myriad of reasons to smile. Yes we had it good in the old days when we were wide-eyed children but nothing has really changed other than technology that brings things closer good or bad.

I agree with Ron. The media focuses too much on dark stories giving a bad impression as to the true state of the world. There is plenty of joy and bullies all over the world being faced up to, laughter in abundance and smiles galore! A lot depends on one's state of mind on waking in the morning. Every day is what we choose to make it, no more, no less.

With joy, laughter and smiles,

I have to ditto what I said to Ed. There's a whole lotta good going on that we fail to recognize when we focus on the bad. Things have never been better for humans on this Earth. It's just that the media, focusing on bad and sensational, makes it look like things are coming apart when they aren't.

There were bullies when I was a kid, and there are still bullies in my life. they just take different forms. As A friend of mine likes to say, It's a great life if you don't let it get you down.

George, You are so right. There were always bullies and though we may not see them as older people, most of them do not fare well in finding happiness through their abrasive manner. And yes, we should smile and laugh more, not just for religion, but also for health. A toast to you with my morning coffee. Eileen

Visions of A Skylark Dressed in Black by Aberjhani

“The woman or man who is a poet, or fiction writer, or playwright, or all of these, is engaged constantly in a jazz ballet of vocabularies, passions, genders, histories, perspectives, death, love, and life. The music of revelation announces itself to
