Casting a shadow That knows we exist. Light can't penetrate Knowing we persist. An x-ray can uncover What lies beneath. It can see what flesh Has covered, underneath. Someday rays will discover What evil lies in our mind. I wish it was tomorrow, A new world we would find.

I've been MRIed and it's like being x-rayed on steroids, not to mention CT scanned, so I won't. A brave new world, to be sure. But penetrating a shadow, that's another story.

I call this penetrating poetry.
