Awakened to a new day
Feeling alive and well.
Thanking God for good health
He has blessed me with.
Heading for my shower
To clear away any cobwebs
That are left from my sleep
So that I may be alert.
The day is sunny and bright.
Can't wait to dress and greet it.
Have to take Toby, my dog,
For his morning walk.

for my morning walk.
I had to wear my winter coat,
just to walk the dog around the block.
It was below freezing last night,
and we had flurries of snow.
I wonder if we'll have any spring.
The grass is growing, but it's to cold to mow.
