Should I hold my breath

Because the stench is so bad?

I guess I would die as it only worsens,

And holding my breath is of little use.

Let the smell sicken our brothers,

Who add to it each day they are in office.

I never feared for my Country

Until the 1970's and it is worse now.

May the youth of our great nation

Take heed and get to the polls

And elect patriots, not those

Who would sell us out.

It is the same everywhere it seems. Surely I have no faith in our so-called elected leaders. They lead nothing. They are led by those who have the money and thus the power to run the world. Sadly, it's always been that way and I don't notice any change. Love and peace to you, George.

It's hard because only wannabes enter public service anymore and money seems to be the only thing installed when it comes to elections. I'm really sick of the begging for money that all candidates seem to have to do to get elected instead of doing it on a shoestring and letting their view of the issues see what elects them rather than all much money they raise (and get in their coffers as a result of political favors in office).

I want to see an end to dynasties like the monarchy in England. Are we courageous enough to elect people that are not part of rich political families?

Ron
