He was a prince of a guy
But a lousy tipper.
When he came in for lunch
Everybody looked busy.
Finally I had to serve him
And took his order.
When he had finished his meal
He called to me looking for rest room.
I thought he was going
To scram out, but no.
He gave me a twenty dollar bill
And said keep the change.
I thought It must be a mistake,
His bill was only $4.50
But he insisted I keep the balance-
After all he said, I'm no cheapskate.

It reads like a true experience. It is really unfortunate that people who serve us are so underpaid that they need to beg for tips. Sometimes I try to tip generously even when I've had bad service or bad food. Especially when I can see it's not the server's fault. From my observation, it seems like rich people are the stingiest and people who live paycheck to paycheck are more generous to others in similar situations.
