Seldom at a loss for words, Yet at times, none seem to come. It is then I realize, silence is golden. Cranking a car is useless If the battery is dead. What's between our ears, the same. Know thyself, oft repeated, But does it sink in, I doubt it. As we do little to offer a change.

I don't know so much about that last stanza, I have continued to "change" a number of times over the years, until I am now exactly where I want to be within myself. I'm happy, George. I might still write dark poetry, but it is always taken from the past when I wasn't so very happy.
