Facing a blustery wind
On a cold winter's night.
There in the shadows,
A form comes into sight.
Can't seem to make it out,
As tears welled in my eyes.
Seems like a young lady,
As she let out a sigh.
She was happy to see me
As she thought she was lost.
I asked where she was going;
To the canteen, as I'm the host.
I'll be glad to drive you,
And she happily agreed.
She was a very nice person.
I drove without much speed.
Always,
