The pasture looked green,

As the cows enjoyed

Eating their fill of Nature's

Bounty and giving us milk.

It is a serene setting,

As I watched from my fence.

One of the joys of farm land

Be you a hick or one of the boys.

Of course I had finished

My days work, and was just resting.

A days work on a farm is long,

And you relish when it is finished.

Never visit a farm, but know it is very hard work.
Thanks George.

Like your poem suggests, farmland always tends to look peaceful and beautiful in different ways at different times of the year. I can still smell it… the clover, the lilac, the old pond, and the cow shit that the farmers tried to keep out of the house by taking off their coats and boots before entering.

Visions of A Skylark Dressed in Black by Aberjhani

“The woman or man who is a poet, or fiction writer, or playwright, or all of these, is engaged constantly in a jazz ballet of vocabularies, passions, genders, histories, perspectives, death, love, and life. The music of revelation announces itself to
