I like the cool weather

Not cold or warm.

Just a little chill in the air,

Livens my steps home.

At an age now when pain

Leaves me run down.

Legs that once carried me,

Now are buckling under the load.

I guess 90 some odd years

Has an effect you can't shrug off.

Bones and muscles not the same

As when you were twenty one.

Age takes it toll on us all. I have a friend that is 104 years young. She is remarkable. She speaks 5 languages, raised three children who are all engineers and she has alot of love showered on her every day. I speak to her often and wrote her a poem for her 100th birthday. I have pictures of her sitting at the table with a cake and 104 number on it. She is happy and alert and I love her so much
