Where have all the tough guys gone?

Not many have noticed their absence.

Ignorance is lack of learning

Which many prefer in this life.

Speak with your fists is old hat

And is rarely seen today in the streets.

You either pull a knife or shoot him dead,

That is the way it's done today.

No more bare knuckle fights

For all to see who will win.

You put your fists where you mouth is

And let him knock the chip off your shoulder.

Well that's the way I grew up,

A street fight about every week.

Missing teeth at times happened,

When a good right caught him on the jaw.

I remember those days. But these days are alot worse. Now they drive by and kill for no reason other than they think it is "fun". We live in a very sad society when children run around and kill innocent people with guns.

Yeah. I grew up in the era of the fist fight. Lost a few teeth.
Banged up a few knuckles. Learned nothing except it's better to
walk away.
