I wallow in thoughts at night Which seem to possess me. They linger and come alive, So that sleep escapes me. The past is relived; I see it and it is real. No dream can make it so, No, this is life brought back. Let the shades of night Darken my inner room. I shall lie awake and ponder What life has renewed in me.
