Will the mighty steamship travel
O'er the raging waves?
The destination is planned,
It thus must go its ways.
The sea was calm and inviting
As it left its port.
The journey was not foreboading,
As this ship was strong and sound.
Yet before another day passed
The seas became rough.
The ship began to flounder.
Soon all lives may be lost.
The music played as life boats
Were filled with people.
This marvelous ship and its crew
Would soon sink beneath the sea.
Life can only be recalled
When history resurrects it.
To this day the ship is buried,
Well below the dancing waves.
Those dancing waves and the music played on.
Very well penned.
