We are in control when

We can handle an insult.

Pity the poor slob that

Causes you to restrain.

Out of control is when we act

In self defense but with our fists.

Angry words are meant to provoke

And cause you to loose your cool.

A wise man knows, words

Are just words and ignores them.

But there may come a time

When these words will be met with anger.

I agree with Ronald here. I usually walk away. to argue with an unarmed person is futile. So why waste your time.

Those with anger, George, carry it with them and it is never about what makes the anger, but how that anger started in the first place...

Always,

Absolutely! I've been on both sides of the fence here . . .

Wise words. It takes restraint to not get angry and understand the difference between a real threat and one that isn't, but still makes you angry. Anger is a useful emotion, but only should be used when it is really needed.

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
