Actually, I just made a big batch with scrumptious pieces of bacon, brown sugar, onions and peppers, mustard, and Grandma's Dark Molasses :)

Comfort food at its best. And, nutritious at that. The lowly bean, in all of its forms, is a mainstay for so many in this world. We can't do without it.
I too, love eating pork and beans once in a while. Reminds me of those days when most of our food came in cans. Now, I eat mostly fresh food and only have cans for the inevitable power outages that hurricanes bring to our town.
