The days come and go

As I sit and ponder.

Many thoughts go around

This old head of mine.

Grabbing the right one

Is the art of a poet.

One that will be pleasing

To read and understand.

I've never written words

That you would have to look up.

That I find to be a problem

With some poets of renown.

I guess if they come naturally

To you, I would say use them.

A good education, with much

Reading, can expand your vocabulary.
