Picking a thought From many going around. Trying to make some sense, Silly as that sounds. Not all thoughts Are sound for publication. It may rile a few And cause more pain than good. Yet a poet sees Life as it is. He can't pretend. No, not a poet. We do our best To call the shots So as not to offend The good folks.

Yes, and it's the "bad" stuff (destined for bad folks?) that sells. It seems like folks would rather hear bad stuff that good. ;-)
