Do I need a charge,

Much like a worn battery?

Or is it just my years

That are weighing heavy on me?

Didn't think I'd reach the ninties,

But here I am still.

Lost the love of my life,

Many ages ago.

Seems the good die young

And the old just one day die.

Can't wait around till the morrow.

Think I'll just lie down and sigh.

You are still creative and vital George. That means you are still enjoying life. Savor every moment and keep writing your poetry and sharing it with us.

You had me fooled, George! You do not look like a man in his 90's at all! You look amazing. Seriously! Loved your poem!

an old saying runs like this: 'When an old man drinks he doesn't think of the wine.' Now I see what does it mean ;)) Cheers, alex

At least your mind is active and your creative every day with your poetry. We all need something to do while we wait around for death to eventually, claim us.
