The lolly pops of old
Brought back memories
Of when I was a kid.
Used to suck on them.
All sorts of flavors
For a penny back then.
I'd sit outside and wonder
What the rich had and not I.
Didn't seem to matter,
As I was happy with what I had.
World events were peaceful,
Then Hitler came along.
