Yes, we learn these things through our "up bringing." And most people just go along with the program for the rest of their lives because it fits nicely into their society and they don't make any waves.

However, there have always been a few who challenge their fathers and mothers' beliefs when they find out that the world is different, not at all as they were brought up to believe.

I think there is a fear these days because so many are now choosing other paths based on great knowledge that is available to them through the Internet and other sources, no longer tied to family and small town traditions and social circles. This universal connectedness, worldwide, this secularism, I look at as very positive. Many do not.

Your last stanza doesn't make any sense partly because I don't know who you are referring to as "he."God makes his claim?
