Waiting is part of the hell you endure

When fighting a war.

So many thoughts enter your mind,

In spite of the incessant noise.

The only objective is to move ahead.

And that comes with a price.

The sounds took years to forget

As the screams of death linger long.

They can't make a movie that depicts

What a man is going through

After months of facing death every day

And the fear of it.

Unless someone goes through something him or herself, they have no idea what the person who did means. Bless you!!

Love ya!

That's right. The movies only show action and then quickly move on to the next scene. They certainly don't show the agonizing waiting and wondering if the next random shell or bullet will find its mark too close to home. That must be terrifying and cause extreme lack of sleep.

Beside Still Waters by Jill Eisnaugle

Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
