It seems the days have passed

And I have not posted a poem.

I didn't realize this had happened,

Until today when I decided to write a poem.

I had no panic attacks, just normal days.

No withdrawal symptoms, none at all.

It seems it was just a weak habit

Writing a poem every day.

It's good to know that I can stop when I want to,

And not feel any remorse or longing to come back.

Just a curative, brief escape from the ordinary

Run of the mill do nothing all the live long day.

George, I have just gotten into so many other busy things this summer, I haven't done much writing but missed it. I just put a poem on the den talking about it. Sometimes "do nothing" I think we all need at times, breaks the repetitiveness and even refreshes the spirit. My motto used to be to keep a low profile, "I see nothing, I know nothing", keeps life simpler that way, ha!

Au contraire. I would find it difficult and time-consuming to write a poem every day. I have difficulty writing one every week. And sometimes, I wish I didn't have the desire, duty, or compulsion to write one.

So, feel free to write two poems a day or none at all. Unless it goes on for some time and we began to think that you are ill or have passed into another dimension, we will not worry if you don't post every day and just do nothing.

If the poems come, then let them be. Sometimes I think "enough", when all of a sudden, there a poem be. Keep at it if they come to you. John
