When we look over the corncribs

Of our life and how we spent it,

We will see what growth has done.

There above our trials and sorrows, are we.

Seeing the winds of time

Sway the corn so tall.

We are like the corn

Who waits for natures caress.

O let the winds of love

Seek and find our hearts.

Instill in us God's love,

And from Him never depart.

Great analogy. We are like the corn. We are children of the corn. In the heat of youth and the warmth of the sun we grow rapidly in tall, soon bearing it all. And then we store the grains of our harvest and use them through the winter of our years. Hopefully, our store last before we die and the rats don't get it before that.
