I saw a falling star

While looking out my window.

Gosh knows have fast it went

Or how far it traveled.

In the blink of an eye

It shot through the heavens.

Then disappeared in the sky,

Who knows where it landed.

Did it just burn up

And become a cinder?

I guess I'll never know

But some scientist has the answer.

You're right about the scientists. Many, but not all, meteors are tracked and scientists know where they landed. They often know what kind they are by analyzing the flare given off as the meteor plunges through the atmosphere are examining what landed. But, some of it still remains a mystery.

This morning I dreamed of a different kind of meteor landing in my backyard. It came in like a meteor but opened up into a shining glass ball with a light floating in the middle. What happens next I will write in a short story of amazing consequence.

of course, we all are so different in both ways, within and without; however, the transformation pointed out here is the common trait of all things. A greatly naive piece of good poetry. Cheers, alex
