I thirst for words I see

But can never get my fill.

They beckon me and yet

I seem unaware they call.

 

Let this thirst of mine be sated

And not be left with its loss.

A poet must have words to spare

If of this world he has a care.

 

O let them come forth

And not be subdued.

For I will give them a resting place,

A place which they can call home.

You'll never put those words to rest. You keep agitating them by forcing them to get up and get into poems every day. And they're some mighty nice duds, I must admit.
