The mirror smiled back at me,

It can't fool an old timer.

Yet I'd have to say

It did give me the better of the day.

It's a good way to start the morning

Seeing your aging reflection

Give you a glowing smile

And know it is not fooling you.

Laugh and the world laughs with you

Weep and you weep alone, olden wise words.

Smile and you can fool the world

And if you shed a tear, do it over a cold beer.
