There is a time for hearing

When your ears become stone dead.

There is a time for hearing

When what is said is a jumble.

I have had this happen

And went to my doctor for answers.

He took the usual tests

And told me to see  him in a week.

I saw him today

And he put my new aids

Into each of my ears.

The sound was ecstatic.

I now no longer wonder

What is being said each day.

Life's jumble of words

I now can understand.

That's wonderful. I'm so glad that hearing aids are working for you. I have been diagnosed with moderate to severe hearing loss. I've noticed it for many years but was only tested recently. Unfortunately, my loss is similar to my mother's, nerve damage, making hearing aids less effective. For now I'm getting along by hearing/not hearing and using captions on my television and movies.

So, very soon, I will be going your route and getting myself some help with hearing. The way things are going, even hearing nerve loss may be conquered in the next few years. I hope so. I want to hear the birds sing again, too.

As I was trying to go back to sleep in the wee hours, I heard birds singing. I was so glad there were song birds back in town but I wasn't sure what kind of birds they were. I finally identified them. My nose was whistling with each breath I took.

Happy for you, George. I wish my Bill would decide to get hearing aids. "What's that?"

Love ya,

I'm so happy my insurance company paid for these new hearing aids.
What a difference they make in my hearing ability. Without them I am deaf except for loud sounds or fairly loud talk.

Do you remember those old "hearing horns" they used to use? 'Glad you got your hearing aids.

Love ya!

Before to long, I'm going to have to check out those hearing aids for myself. I'm between hearing what my wife is saying, and the enjoyment of not being able to hear what she has to say.
