Naked as a thought expires,

Leaving me with an empty hand.

Desire seems to fade and grow soft,

Like the emptiness of life..

I cling to the reservoir of thoughts,

That can stll arouse an old man.

Thoughts of a naked youth,

When life was exciting then.

Still the palm trees will sway

In the soft breeze from the bay.

I can still hear childrens laughter,

As they run around and play.

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.

Beside Still Waters by Jill Eisnaugle

Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
