Can my words mean nothing,

But be a filler of space?

There in lies my quandry,

No answer do I hear.

Yet in my solitude I hear

The whispers of days past,

Where the sun shone

And alighted on my words.

Need I be a scholar of sorts,

Who must ascertain what life

Has placed before me in words?

Little will this enhance what I've written.

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE VALUE OF ANY INSPIRATION THAT THE 'GIFT-GIVER' GIVES. FOR WHAT MAY SEEM TO BE OF NO SIGNIFICANCE TO YOU WILL BE APPRECIATED BY A READER...NOW, OR IN MANY YEARS TO COME. WRITE ON! THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Insightful and thought provoking. I sense, however, loneliness and despair. I am much as your writing expresses, George; somehow, pulling myself up by my boot straps daily and nightly. We're tough enough to keep doing what comes next, though.

Oh, but it may. Nothing enhances solitude like study. And nothing enhances your poetry like study.

When we write, we write the words that we hope are read and understood by others.
