The day has come to an end
And night time claims its birth.
This is the time for rest,
As a weary body knows it needs.
Succumb to the tiredness
That a day of hard work produces.
Lay your head down on a pillow
And let sleep envelope you.
For seven or eight hours
Your body will recoup its strength.
The nothingness that sleep provides,
Leaves our mind fresh for another day of work.
My poem on Saturday is about lying (down to sleep in a prone position) and not about the other kind. So I'm right up your alley with this theme.
