This is about real cowboys not me. I'm just playing one for the sake of the poem.

The dust kicked up by the cattle,

I inhaled as we drove them.

It was chocking, but necessary,

As this was my living then.

When you are eating your next

Steak, think of the cowboys

Who labored to bring the food to you.

It was tough work, but it was a living.

I think Zane Grey would be proud to call you a compadre', even though you are more of a city slicker cowboy. I certainly could never do the job they did, as that dust does not sound too appetizing but that steak you mention, you got my mouth watering...:) -e-

Sometimes I think of the work those pioneers did. Making soap, picking cotton to weave into thread to weave into material to sew into garments and so much more! Yes, the cowboys brought the food to you as you plowed your ground to plant the veggies etc.. Those people will never get enough credit! 'Enjoyed!!

Love ya!

This is just a poem about cowboys. I was never a cowboy but played one in this poem.

You were a cowboy soldier! I'm impressed.

Kind A SLOw In The Kootenays v2.2 by RickthePoetWarrior

Has-beens and coffee get together to recreate a same old new tourist trap in a land even the First Nations don't want.
